Maidstone was once famous throughout Europe for its paper mills, with Royalty sourcing their paper exclusively from independent mills.  The river town's wealth popularised a bustling café culture that still exists today.

It's the scents of the most luxurious paper and wealthy 19th century ladies and gentlemen that we've tried to capture here with Payprus.

Fragrance Notes

This outgoing fragrance's delicate florals and citrus deliver a crisp opening balanced with the deep romantic tones of amber and oud that works year round.  Especially sumptuous as an evening scent with the base notes harmonising to create a mysterious and alluring quality that will draw you in deeper.

After trying the sample set I went for Papyrus 1st. This is quite a strong fragrance which I like as it lasts. Packaging was really good so arrived safe and there was a small sample sent which was my 2nd favourite from the sample set so a little bonus.

Gorgeous Fragrance

A lovely warm fragrance with the note of bergamot coming through. It actually lasts on me, which many fragrances don't. My order came quite quickly and was well wrapped. Will buy some more when I run out.

Ordered with 24 Hour recorded delivery on a Sunday evening (19th November 2023) and didn't get it until Thursday (23rd November 2023) and no responses via e-mail or other methods when reaching out to request an update on when I could expect to receive the delivery. Disappointed, to say the least. I want to like this brand (Edenbridge) and the YouTube channel, as I am a long-time, loyal subscriber and have made several orders from Edenbridge (the different fragrances, overall, are good) in recent years. I hope that this doesn't have to be my last.

Really lovely scent. It would be nice if I could better identify each bottle though as I have more than one and it's hard to work out which is which.
